Deb Elliott is in her fourth year as
teacher/coordinator of Complete High School Maize. Before that,
she was the director of the counseling department at Maize High
School. A graduate of Wichita State University, Deb sees the
Complete High School Maize as a wonderful alternative for those
students needing more individualized help and/or a different style
of learning.
Deb received her masters degree from W.S.U. and her administrative certificate
from Fort Hays State University. She is proud of CHSM and
applauds the students for taking control of their lives and
fulfilling their dreams.

Kristy Custer is in her second year teaching
at Complete High School Maize. She has previously spent four
years as a teacher at McPherson High School. Kristy graduated
from Butler County Community College and Wichita State
University. At CHSM, she teaches English and assists students
with the newsletter and yearbook. She has begun work on her
masters degree at Baker University.
Kristy enjoys the one-on-one time she can spend
helping students in the classroom and likes that each student is
dealt with on an individual basis at CHSM. She says working at
CHSM is like working with a family.
In her spare time, Kristy enjoys reading, going to
the movies, and spending time with her husband, Brian.

Sheryl Tillery is the paraprofessional at CHSM
She assists in the classrooms, helps organize lunches, and teaches
many cooking and craft matinees.
Sheryl came to CHSM in October of 2003. Before coming to CHSM,
Sheryl had been a secretary for
2 years at the USD266 Central Office. She and her husband,
Ronnie have a 4 year old son, Kyle. Sheryl has a Bachelor's Degree from Friends University.

The woman behind the scenes, Kathy Anderson,
our beloved Secretary, came to us from the stuffy business
world. She returned to us for our 3rd year after a
bit of a hiatus. Kathy goes above and beyond the call of duty
in every task she takes on. She is a valuable asset to our
school. |

Chris Botts has been teaching math for four
years, all of which have been at Complete High School Maize.
Chris graduated from Butler County Community College, where he
played basketball, and then received a B.S. degree in secondary
education mathematics from Kansas State University in 1999.
Currently, Chris is attending Baker University to obtain a master's
degree in administration.
Chris' hobbies include reading, golfing, spending
time with family and friends, woodworking, and coaching. He is
currently the assistant 8th grade girls volleyball coach and the
assistant 7th grade girls basketball coach.
Chris' accomplishments are developing and facilitating an applied math
and pre-algebra online class.
Chris loves working at CHSM and with the students there. He
claims it is a very gratifying job and enjoys seeing changes made by
students. He likes the opportunity to work individually with
students and seeing the "light bulb" click on. He is
thankful for being blessed with such a fantastic core of teachers
whom he cherishes.

Thaddeus (Ted) Kozicki teaches social studies
and science. He has been with Complete High School Maize since
its beginning. Prior to that he spent 13 years working for the
Sedgwick County Special Education Cooperative. Twelve of those
years he spent in the Maize school district, the last 8 as an
inclusion teacher in the science department at Maize High School.
Previous teaching experience includes both public and private
schools in Kansas and Michigan. Ted has taught 7-12 language
arts, drama, directed school plays, coached high school wrestling,
7-12 social studies, 4-6 math, adult education for Butler County
Community College, and was a graduate assistant at Emporia State
working on the Dean's Project for the Psychology Department.
Ted has various articles published including: "The Science
Classroom and Students with Special Needs" and "The
Language Arts Classroom and Students with Special Needs".
Ted's hobbies include fishing, classifying and cutting rocks and
mineral samples, and theatre. Ted co-authored a melodrama that
was produced at Mosley Street Melodrama and is currently involved in
the production of "TRU" a one-man play about Truman
Capote, which will be going to New York in the Spring. Ted is
currently serving on the awards committee for the Mary Jane Teale
Theatre Award.
Ted received his BA from Western Michigan University and his MS
from Emporia State University.

Deanna Gooch teaches Social Studies.
Deanna came to Complete High School Maize for the 2003-2004 school
year. She had previously spent 6 years at Maize Middle School and a
year at Maize High School. Deanna holds a
Master's Degree from Friends University and a Bachelor's Degree from
Kansas State University.
She enjoys working with the young adults at CHSM.
She says it is an awesome job to come to everyday. Deanna also enjoys
the friendships she has with the staff at Complete. Her hobbies
include playing the piano and spending time with her husband Dale and
daughter, Lauren.

William Rule a.ka. Wild Bill is one of the
best assets here at Complete High School Maize. Wild Bill has
been working as a custodian in the Maize district since 1984.
This is his 4th year at CHSM but he is far more than just a
custodian to all of us. He is an inspiration, a motivator, a
kind smiling face and a true friend.
