Maize Board of Education approves boundary map, finalizes student placement policy
Monday, November 14th, 2016

The Maize Board of Education during its monthly meeting Nov. 14 unanimously approved the boundary map as presented last month, finalizing the district's new student placement policy.

Maize Schools will be communicating with families in the coming days and weeks on the components of the new policy, specifically regarding any decisions students and their families may make this semester as a result of various exemptions during the policy's transitional implementation phase. The district is preparing packets that those families will receive in the mail soon, likely next week.

During the meeting, board members thanked those who have been part of the process, including volunteers who served on the Student Placement Policy Team since January, and families who have shared feedback.

This new policy will allow for an improved environment for Maize USD 266 and its students and community.
