Fifth Grade Connection

This program is designed to keep our 5^th grade students focused and connected to Maize Elementary. Students apply and interview for various jobs (related to careers) serving the MES Community.  These opportunities are especially important as our students begin to look down the road towards the junior high experience.

Mouse Patrol

The Mouse Patrol is to provide opportunities for students to help staff and students in the building with the vast amount of technology we have available.  The Mouse Patrol Members are developing their technology and leadership skills while encouraging the use of technology in the classroom. 

Red Cross Club

Maize Elementary Red Cross Club works hard to help others in our school, community, and even the world.  Representatives from each class meet to make posters, stuff popcorn, or learn about Red Cross.  Being chosen to represent your class is an important honor.  It is fun too!

Wee Deliver

MES has a school-wide postal service called Wee Deliver.  Students are able to write and send letters to others here in our building.   Postmasters, clerks, sorters, and carriers are jobs that students can do as postal workers. Parents also can take part in this program by writing letters to their child, addressing an envelope with the classroom address, and dropping the letters in the Blue mailbox located outside the main door of the school.  This is a wonderful program that teaches the students – letter writing, addressing and mailing an envelope.
