7th and 8th Band--Focus: Seventh and eighth grade band continues to develop the musicality and technique of individual players through rehearsals, performances, and festivals. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Jazz Band, Pep Band , and a Marching Band performance.

A. Be able to perform music alone and/or with others, using a varied repertoire of music.
B. Be able to improvise and create music.
C. Be able to use the vocabulary and notation of music (be able to read music).
D. Be able to respond to music aesthetically, intellectually, and emotionally.
E. Be able to evaluate music and music performances.
F. Be able to be able to understand relationships between music, the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts.
G. Be able to understand music in relation to history and culture.
H. Be able to continue musical learning independently.
