7th and 8th Choir--Focus: Seventh and eighth grade choir develops the musical artistry and singing voice inherent in each child through active participation in singing, rehearsing, and performing a rich variety of quality choral music.
A. Be able to perform music alone and/or with others, using a varied repertoire of music.
B. Be able to improvise and create music.
C. Be able to use the vocabulary and notation of music (be able to read music).
D. Be able to respond to music aesthetically, intellectually, and emotionally.
E. Be able to evaluate music and music performances.
F. Be able to understand relationships between music,
the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts.
G. Be able to understand music in relation to history and culture.
H. Be able to continue musical learning independently.
