7th and 8th Communications--Focus: The focus of 7/8 grade speech communications is to assist students in becoming effective oral communicators by becoming organized and confident in an oral presentation.

A. Speak and write for a variety of purposes and audiences.
B. Use a variety of print, non-print and technological resources to find information for critical and creative thinking.
C. Demonstrate the interpersonal and group communication skills necessary to work with others.
D. Demonstrate an understanding of the communication process by interpreting, analyzing and improving faulty communication.
E. Enhance their current listening skills and improve their weak areas.
