Science Challenges

Science Challenges--Focus: The Science Education for Public Understanding Program is a diverse educational program highlighting science and it's uses in the context of societal issues so that students experience the reality of science and technology. Students will collect and process scientific evidence about real issues of interest to them and their community. They will also learn how to use this evidence to help them and their community. They will also learn how to use this evidence to help them make decisions about these issues.

A. Use scientific principles and processes appropriately in making personal decisions.
B. Experience the richness and excitement of knowing about and understanding the natural world.
C.Engage intelligently in public discourse and debate about matters of scientific and technological concern.
