7th and 8th Pre-Algebra-- Focus: The focus for Pre-Algebra for grades 7 and 8 is on basic concepts of introductory level abstract algebra.

A. Automate the use of fractions, mixed numbers and decimals in all operations.
B. Solve problems using ratios and percents and simple word problems.
C. Use integers, exponents and integral roots in math operations.
D. Graph on a number line and on the x-y plane.
E. Solve linear equations and inequalities.
F. Demonstrate an understanding of simple geometric concepts.
G. Solve using the 4-step problem solving process.

Math 7B--teacher approval--The focus of Math 7B is on automating the concepts and skills of arithmetic. The curriculum remains the same as Math 7 with more emphasis on class work than homework.

Math 7 Improvement--teacher approval--Math improvement class is available for the students having difficulty in math. Scores from the Metropolitan Achievement Test and the Stanford Diagnostic Mathematics Test determine the student's eligibility for this improvement class. This class provides individualized instruction to help the student gain proficiency in the basic skills for math.

IR Math 7--IEP required--This class is designed for students based on their individualized educational plan.
