Focus: The focus for Social Studies 7 is to develop a working knowledge and
understanding of major economic concepts and an understanding of the spatial
organization of the Earth's surface.
A. Understand how scarcity of resources requires choices.
B. Understand how the market economy works in the United States.
C. Analyzes how different economic systems, institutions, and incentives
affect people.
D. Study the role of the government in the economy.
E. Look at effective decision-making as a consumer, producer, saver, investor
and citizen.
F. Use map tools to gain an understanding of geography.
H. Look at how different processes interact to shape patterns of human
populations, interdependence, cooperate
I. Study the effects of interactions between human and physical systems.
J. Present learned material in a variety of forms(i.e. reports, debates, and projects.)
