Family and Consumer Science/Careers

Careers--Students in the family and consumer science education program will gain competencies in the work of the family through the process of decision-making, problem-solving, and management as it relates to the unique needs of the individual and family in society.

A. Essential daily living skills including nutrition and wellness. Human relations skills used within the family, society, and workplace.
B. Consumer skills for managing resources.
C. Employability skills needed to get and keep a job.
D. Management skills needed to coordinate the multi-role functions of work and family.
