Foods and Nutrition--Focus:This semester class provides the students with instruction in basic food preparation and nutrition and coincides with laboratory hands-on experience.
A. Reading and applying written directions.
B. Time management.
C. Cooperative labs and ability to work with others.
D. Consumer product selection based on nutrition and quality.
E. Linking classroom cooperative learning labs to workplace responsibilities.
F. Solving problems using product comparison.
G. Purchasing and preparation of nutritional food for self and family.
H. Leadership and teamwork in cooperative labs and cooperative groups.
I. Making sound financial decisions.
