A. Identify and locate individual states and major bodies of water and mountain ranges of the United States
B. Explain cause and effect relationships of events in American History.
C. Connect contemporary events to their origins in the past.
D. Determine the significance of people, events, and historical sources.
E. Utilize American historical facts and related concepts to compare people, places, regions, and events to one another.
F. Relate important Kansas people, places and events to mainstream American History.
G. Demonstrate understanding of the basic functions of American government.
