Maize High School provides students the opportunity to take selected classes online during the summer session.  The summer enrollment in online course work is limited to 20 students per instructor.  Students who desire to take a class online must complete the registration form (link to form is available at the bottom of this page) and have the approval of the parent, online instructor, counselor, and principal. 

To be approved for an online class the student must meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrate the motivation and self discipline to work in an unstructured situation
• Show how the online course will help them meet the goals of their graduation plan
• Have an extenuating circumstance that has prevented them from being able to achieve their graduation goals within the frame work of the traditional classroom setting

The final approval of all on line applications will be granted or denied by the building principal. 
 

Conditions of Enrollment

The student must have the ability to meet the following conditions:

• Fee payment of $100 per .5 credit class to Maize High School
• Computer access outside the regular school day
• Completion of the course within the time frame set by the instructor
• Be present at Maize High School for the administration of tests, i.e. mid-term and final exam.
