| The Maize USD #266 School District
curriculum identifies what students are expected to learn.
In Kansas, the curriculum is locally developed and is compliance
with the educational standards established by state laws and the
Kansas Department of Education, as well as, federal laws and
requirements.
Courses of study and curriculum frameworks are developed by the
teachers to focus instruction. These frameworks are written
so as to provide consistency in programs horizontally, and to
assist with the vertical alignment and articulation.
The Maize Curriculum Task Forces review the curriculum on a
regular basis and incorporate best practices reflecting research
that has been proven to impact student learning in a positive
manner.
