Election 2020: Your vote, voice matters
One of the most effective and simplest ways supporters of Maize Schools and Kansas public education can support students is to vote.
The 2020 elections will no doubt be crucial, especially in light of the many things facing our communities and country, including COVID-19, social justice, and public education. For your convenience, we are sharing a few important reminders and resources with you. The General Election will be Nov. 3 and will include the presidential election.
Voter registration: The deadline to register for the General Election is Oct. 13. Please click here to check your voter registration information. You can click here to register to vote or update your voter information.
- If you want to vote early by mail, you can click here to download Sedgwick County’s advance ballot application. It is an editable PDF you can fill out, print, sign, and return to the Sedgwick County Election Office. The Sedgwick County Election Office is promoting advance voting by mail as a way to avoid the crowd, especially in light of concerns surrounding COVID-19. The last day for the election office to mail advance voting ballot applications is Oct. 25. The last day to mail advance ballots for the General Election is Oct. 27.
- Early in-person voting at the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main St., Suite 101 in downtown Wichita, begins at 8 a.m. Oct. 19 and ends at noon Nov. 2. Early in-person voting at satellite sites begins at noon Oct. 27 and ends at 4 p.m. Oct. 31.
General Election Day: Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 3. Click here to find your polling place.
