• About the program

The Starlets Pre-K classes meet once a week in Room 11 at Maize Early Childhood Center. Each class session begins with parents and children participating in an opening activity and meeting time. Group learning activities during meeting time involve the calendar, weather, number concepts, and early literacy concepts (letter of the day, oral language, and vocabulary). Following meeting time, a large portion of the session is devoted to center time, in which parents and children participate together in a variety of hands-on learning activities. Starlets class ends with a story and music.
