My career in education began in Osawatomie, Ks as a Kindergarten teacher. After having twins, my second year of teaching, I intended to be a stay at home mom, but instead started working as a part-time Kindergarten teacher in my hometown district in Paola, Ks. I then transitioned back to full-time and spent nine years total as a Kindergarten teacher in Paola.
My family relocated to Maize when my husband took an administration job within the Maize School District as Assistant Principal at Maize South High School. Following our move, I spent two years teaching Kindergarten and two years teaching 5th-grade at Vermillion Elementary. Not only was Vermillion a wonderful place to teach, but our three daughters, Kamryn, Kadynce, and Kendyll have called Vermillion home.I served as the Assistant Principal at Vermillion Elementary School for five years and I'm excited to be the Principal starting in the 2022-23 school year!
