About Kansas House Bill (HB) 2567

The last Kansas legislative session produced new statutory guidance, Kansas House Bill (HB) 2567, which includes information about non-academic school surveys. This page will provide information on the survey requirements and surveys given to students. Our collaborative goal is family engagement and transparency while supporting teachers with clear guidelines for HB 2567.

    Panorama Student Surveys

Each year, students are given the opportunity to complete social and emotional (SEL) surveys three times a year. We are asking that all of our students participate in the surveys, as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our classrooms and our school to their needs. If a student does not feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether. As we did during the 2021-22 school year, we are partnering with a third-party vendor, Panorama Education, to support us in administering these surveys.

A reminder that the survey content will ask students to self-reflect on supportive relationships, challenging feelings, positive feelings, sense of belonging, and emotional regulation. The survey will ask students to reflect on their own mindsets and approaches to learning via an online survey they will complete at school. The survey should not take more than 20 to 30 minutes to complete and will be taken three times per year. Please note, K-2 teachers complete teacher perception surveys for their students in those respective grades. All students in grades 3-12 have the opportunity to complete a survey.
