Online Courses offered through USD 266 Educational Outreach Center

Through our Educational Outreach Center, Maize USD 266 is pleased to offer high school students an expanded online program for credit recovery and credit acquisition. A student interested in retaking a failed course and/or earning credits otherwise unattainable because of scheduling conflicts may benefit from this program.

Courses offered include English, algebra, chemistry, history and more. Please go online http://educationaloutreach.weebly.com to see a complete list of courses and to register. All courses are monitored by USD 266 teachers.  This opportunity allows our students to work at their own pace in courses that they have previously struggled with. (Students otherwise can opt to retake the failed course at their school buildings.) The online courses also allow students to fulfill requirements to free up coursework time in their school schedule to allow them to take electives of interest to them. It could help a student graduate early or may assist the student in earning college credit or accessing skills for career readiness.

    • Course Orientation: First time program users will be sent an orientation email with an EdPuzzle Link. You will be required to watch a video and answer questions. This is non- graded. Just to make sure you understand the program expectations.
    • Course Payments: Courses are $30 per month, and must be paid by the 1st. Payments can be made through Skyward, or by cash or check, made out to USD 266. Checks and
cash payments can be dropped off at the Educational Outreach Center, Door #1, between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm.

    Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is expected at all times! You are expected to complete your own work. Friends, siblings or family members may not complete any portion of your course. If a student is caught plagiarizing or cheating in any way, their course may be discontinued and they will not be allowed to enroll in future online courses through the EOC Online Program.

  • How much time is required to take an online course?

    Posted by:

Plan to spend at least as much time as you would if you were attending in the regular classroom, or
approximately seven hours a week. Your progress report will show you a daily time goal to set to
complete the course by the end date. You can request that the end date be changed if you are
needing a slower or faster pace.

  • How long do I have to complete a credit recovery course?

    Posted by:

Students may take as long as needed to complete, within reason. We usually schedule 2 months for
a .5 credit course and 4 month for a 1.0 credit course, but that can be adjusted. A monthly fee of
$30 will be due by the 1st of the month. The course will be shut off and reset if payment is not
received by the 1st. Physical Education is set up on an 8 week program.

Please contact your teacher, or contact the Educational Outreach Office and let them know so they
can disable your course and take you off the billing list.  If you have just started, and decide to drop
the course, you will not be penalized. However, if you complete the course, and don’t pass, you can
not drop it to avoid having the F posted. That decision needs to be made with in the first month or
