Maize Pulse
Since August 2022, the Maize Pulse e-newsletter has helped parents and the Maize Family keep a pulse on district news, upcoming events, important updates, and more. It is produced about once a month and is emailed to parents and employees.
The Communications Department of Maize USD 266 works hard to keep the community informed and to tell the inspiring stories that schools, students, teachers and other staff have. The award-winning team uses a variety of platforms, including social media, e-newsletters, and this website.
All media inquiries must be directed to Maize USD 266 Communications.
We welcome your story ideas and contributed photos and look forward to hearing from you.
Media Relations
At Maize USD 266, we value our partnership with members of the media and appreciate your interest in covering the great things happening in our schools. To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone, media representatives must follow these guidelines.
Media inquiries: All media inquiries, including interview requests and on-site visits, must be directed to the district’s Communications Department. Please reach out to Executive Director of Communications Lori O’Toole Buselt.
On-campus visits: To maintain the safety and privacy of our students and employees, all media must be escorted by a district representative while on any school campus. Visits must be scheduled in advance.
Student privacy: Some students are on a “do-not-publish” list in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This means their photos, names, and other identifying information cannot be shared publicly. We take this responsibility seriously and will ensure compliance during any media engagement.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to working together to share the positive stories within our district.
