Maize has a lot to offer teachers new to the district and those new to the profession. All new teachers are matched with a qualified mentor and both the mentor and mentee are supported by our team of Student Support Specialists and Instructional Coaches. New teachers also participate in eight half-day professional development opportunities throughout the school year.

Paraeducators work closely with teachers to provide extra support to students in the classrooms and throughout the school environment. We are seeking caring, consistent, adults to join our paraeducator team. 

There are several different opportunities for paraeducators across the district.  If you apply for this posting, all principals will be able to see your application.  Within the application, you can tell us a bit more about which students you would like to work with.  During the interview process, principals provide additional details about what a typical day looks like.

Substitute teachers help provide continued education to students when their teacher is away.

Substitute paraeducators fill in when there are vacancy or extended leaves.  You can pick and choose the assignments you want.

Substitute nurses promote overall health and well-being and work to minimize absences due to illness. 

Substitute kitchen assistants ensure healthy, nutritious, and appealing food is always available to our students and staff.

Substitute clerical staff helps ensure the efficient and effective operation of the office.

Substitute custodians maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment assuring the proper operation of all facilities.

All of our substitutes are a vital part of the total education process by providing instructional continuity.

Bus drivers make a significant impact on Maize students by being the first and last friendly faces they see each day. They not only ensure safe travels but also help keep our schools on schedule and offer reliable transportation for students who might otherwise struggle to get to school.

The Maize USD 266 Operations department includes Maintenance/Grounds, HVAC, Transportation, Fleet Maintenance and more. The Operations Department is responsible for providing support services for all buildings within Maize USD 266. Maintaining more than 2 million square feet of buildings, the Maize Operations Department goes above and beyond daily for the students and staff of Maize USD 266. The Operations Department is also responsible for coordination of the Maize Performing Arts and Aquatic Center, which is the District's new state of the art performance and aquatic venue.

Our Kitchen Staff works in a fast-paced environment preparing and serving nutritious meals to students to support student learning. The Food Service department works school days only - no nights, weekends, or holidays!
