Safe and well-maintained facilities are a great feature found in our district. The intermediate, middle, and high schools all have school resource officers, and all schools have physical safety features built in. The two intermediate schools are in their second year and were designed to allow amazing collaboration. The district also recently opened our Maize Performing Arts and Aquatics Center.

  • Maize USD 266 Superintendent Dr. Greer visits every building each year for Listening Tours, during which employees may ask questions, express concerns, and build relationships with district leadership

Maize was a perfect fit for me. It has good hours, and I get treated like a real person, all while helping kids get to and from school. We claim the students as our own when they are on our buses, whether that’s the beginning or end of the school day.

Benefits: Most district employees are eligible to be enrolled in the KPERS retirement plan.  Employees working at least 25 hours per week are eligible for subsidized health insurance and a variety of other health benefits.  View the 2024-2025 benefits guide to learn more. 

Paid time off: Paid holidays and leave time are great benefits.  Employees working during the school year are paid for 6 holidays and 16 days of sick/personal time.  Employees working year-round also receive paid vacation and additional holidays. View the 2024-2025 work calendars to learn more.
