Early Childhood Education
Welcome to early childhood education!
Welcome to Early Childhood Education at Maize USD 266!
Our programs for children from birth to age 5 are thoughtfully designed to nurture growth and success. Whether it’s preschool classes or support for parents, we’re committed to walking alongside our youngest learners and their families from the very start. The journey through Maize USD 266 begins here, with enrollment available to families within our district.
At the welcoming Maize Early Childhood Center, we provide our Explorers with preschool classes, the nationally recognized Parents as Teachers program, and more! We prioritize meeting each child where they are—making learning engaging, accessible, and secure. Guided by the Kansas Early Learning Standards, our licensed educators and specialists focus on building foundational skills through joyful, play-based experiences.
Our standalone facility is equipped with a gym, library, school nurse, playground, and abundant resources to support your child’s learning and development.
When it’s time for kindergarten, we’ll ensure a seamless transition. Your child will be placed in one of our five exceptional elementary schools: Maize Central Elementary School, Maize Elementary School, Maize South Elementary School, Pray-Woodman Elementary School, or Vermillion Elementary School.
