District Needs Assessment
Maize USD 266 has produced a needs assessment to identify common barriers students face and recommendations for improvement. This process, now required by Kansas state statute, will guide district leaders and the Maize Board of Education to take actions to address and remove those barriers for student success. The work of this needs assessment supports the vision and goals of our Lead Forward strategic plan.
The Process
The district needs assessment process is a continuous cycle that includes the following steps:
- Establish wildly important goals
- Identify lead measures
- Monitor progress
- Review lag measures
- Identify barriers prioritize needs
- Approve budget
