District Site Council
The Kansas Department of Education defines that Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) regulations will require every school system seeking accreditation to have a district site council (DSC). KESA regulations will require participation of the district site council in the system's accreditation process.
The Maize USD 266 District Site Council will meet throughout the 2025-26 school year to solicit feedback from district stakeholders. Meetings will take place at the Maize Performing Arts and Aquatics Center (1155 W. Academy Ave. Maize, KS 67101) on the following dates:
- Monday, Sept. 15, 2025 @ 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025 @ 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, March 26, 2026 @ 6:30 p.m.
Council Responsibilities:
- Educate the district community about district celebrations.
- Provide input and feedback on accreditation and design work.
- Provide feedback on specific district initiatives.
Parents interested in participating in a site council or other school support function are invited to please contact your child’s principal.
