Maize Virtual Preparatory School is part of Maize USD 266 and serves students across Kansas. Our flexible online educational program helps students discover their love of learning. We offer academic support from Kansas certified teachers and personalized resources that empower our students to connect, learn, and lead.
The mission of Maize Virtual Preparatory School is to develop each student’s love of learning. For kindergarten through 12th grade, we offer an exciting opportunity for Kansas students to connect, learn, and lead in a virtual online setting with the partnership of an experienced, committed, virtual team of Kansas certified teachers.

Grade Levels at MVPS
We provide academic support through a team of Kansas-certified teachers and personalized educational resources to facilitate student learning. Using Chromebooks with dedicated tech support, students engage in a well-rounded learning experience enhanced by field trips and enrichment activities across the state of Kansas.
Elementary (grades K-8)
- Students utilize individual learning plans formulated to meet grade-level objectives and learning goals.
- Families enjoy opportunities to connect with fellow families and teachers online and in person.
- We offer a tuition-free program for Kansas residents. Application fees apply.
- Students learn with an individual core and math curriculum.
- We provide our 8th Grade Bridge Program (8B) for advanced 8th grade students.
High School (grades 8B-12)
- We offer a college preparatory program focused on academic rigor and success.
- Students explore expanded learning opportunities in a personal area of interest.
- We offer virtual “live” classroom opportunities.
- We offer a tuition-free program for Kansas residents. Application and enrollment fees apply.
- Students develop personal executive function skills, including those supporting time management, problem-solving, planning, and execution.
