Thanks to an NEA Foundation Award, our students can now take their learning outside.
This past February, Pray-Woodman was recognized by the NEA Foundation for supporting great teachers and the work they do in their classrooms. As an honoree, the school received a monetary award to enhance the learning for the students at the building. One of the projects was to create a Learning Tailgate for our students. We were able to purchase a class set of chairs that students could easily transport outside. Now students can spend some time in the fresh air and sunshine partner reading, exploring science concepts or working on a math worksheet. Thanks to a nearby business, Academy Sports, we were able to purchase some of the chairs at a great discount and have money left to implement additional projects. Stay tuned for some other fun things we have planned for the kids with this award.
