The Maize Board of Education met Dec. 14 and unanimously approved to extend Spring Break 2021 to a full five days, March 15 through March 19, 2021.

Spring Break originally was scheduled for five days off but was shortened in August to three days off to accommodate the adjusted calendar when the first day of school was delayed. A recent decision by the Kansas Board of Education modifies how student contact hours may be counted through April, which allows the district to reinstate Spring Break 2021.
