Maize Transportation Department rolling out new system
The Maize Transportation Department is working to implement a new system that will provide improved safety and real-time management of the passengers, drivers, and bus fleet. Part of the process with the new Transportant system is for school bus drivers to physically drive each bus a few times on its normal school day route. Driving the route, including stopping at designated bus stops, allows the computer’s GPS system to create a map that will be used by drivers and substitute drivers daily. During this calibration period, you likely will see Maize school buses in your neighborhood. Drivers will not be picking up passengers.
